Glacial moraines

Glacial moraines:
              Moraines are land forms created at the margins of glaciers by the melt-out of debris from the glacier and by the bulldozing action of the ice. Moraines are classified according to their position relative to the former glacier.

Some Different types of moraine

  1. Terminal moraines are found at the terminus or the furthest (end) point reached by a glacier.
  2. Lateral moraines are found deposited along the sides of the glacier.
  3. Medial moraines are found at the junction between two glaciers..
